Community service
Post volunteer hours given to local charities, civic projects, and neighbors in need throughout the year.
Honor guard
Military funeral honors, rifle salute, and flag folding for eligible veterans in the community.
M.O.C.
Military Order of the Cootie, the VFW's honor degree, raising funds and morale for hospitalized veterans.
POW/MIA
Keeping faith with those still unaccounted for, including the annual recognition ceremony and empty chair.
Safety
Community safety education and awareness campaigns supported by the Post.
Taps
Remembering members of Post 5788 who have passed, and standing with their families.
Toys for Tots
Annual toy collection and distribution for local children during the holiday season.
Veteran outreach
Connecting area veterans to benefits, claims help, and the comrades who can walk them through it.
Volunteer with us
Honor guard details, Toys for Tots collection, essay judging, and outreach visits all need hands. Come to a meeting the first Wednesday of the month, or call the Post.
